On Tuesday, January 28th at 2:00 p.m., join assistant conductor of Sinfonia Gulf Coast, Aaron King Vaughn, at the Destin Library for an engaging pre-concert discussion about the upcoming February 1st “Classical Collusions (with Russia)” concert. Vaughn, is an exciting and versatile emerging American conductor, who was named a 2019 Chicago Sinfonietta Project Inclusion Freeman Conducting Fellow. He is concurrently serving as music director and conductor of the Sinfonia Gulf Coast Youth Orchestras and coordinator of the organization’s music education and community engagement initiatives.
The concert is part of the Silver Sands Premium Outlets’ Classical Connections Series. It will feature Daniel Hsu, the 2017 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition bronze medalist on piano and two icons of Russian orchestral music: Dmitri Shostakovich and Sergei Rachmaninoff. The highlighted concert will be held on February 1st, at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Baptist Church, Destin, Florida.
