Destin, FL. – Come enjoy a free movie at the Destin Library every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. starting in January. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis and you are welcome to bring your own light refreshments.
January 8 – Blinded By the Light: Javed, a Pakistani teenager, experiences racial and economic turmoil while living in Luton, England, in 1987. When a classmate introduces him to the music of Bruce Springsteen, the melodies soon inspire Javed to find his own voice and follow his dreams.
January 15 – A Dog’s Journey: Bailey is living the good life on the Michigan farm of Ethan and Hannah and their granddaughter, CJ. The problem is that CJ's mom, Gloria, decides to take CJ away. As Bailey's soul prepares to leave this life for a new one, he makes a promise to Ethan to find CJ and protect her at any cost.
January 22 – Rocket Man: Set to his most beloved songs, this is the epic musical story of Elton John, his breakthrough years in the 1970s and his fantastical transformation from shy piano prodigy to international superstar.
January 29 – Green Book: Dr. Don Shirley, a world-class African-American pianist, is about to embark on a concert tour in the Deep South in 1962. He recruits Tony Lip, a tough-talking bouncer from the Bronx as a driver and for protection. Despite their differences, the two men soon develop an unexpected bond while confronting racism and danger in an era of segregation.
