Destin, FL. – The Friends Guild of the Destin Library will host a presentation by the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance of Northwest Florida State College at the library on Tuesday, January 7 at 2:00 p.m. This is a free event and no registration is required.
The Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance of Northwest Florida State College, also known as “CBA,” was first created by concerned citizens along with representatives from local, state, and federal agencies to discuss environmental quality and economic development. Over 20 years later, CBA is well established in the Walton-Okaloosa County area for educating the public on local resources and working with governing agencies on issues of concern. The overarching goal of CBA is to promote swimmable, fishable waterways to protect our precious local resources and economy. At this presentation, you will find out the many ways to get involved locally with CBA.
