November brings two tasty new Teen Programs to the Destin Library just in time for Thanksgiving. These programs are free to participate, but registration is required to insure there are enough materials for everyone.
A Microwave Thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, November 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Teens can get their first dose of dorm room cooking with this single-serving-sized Thanksgiving feast! Participants will learn four recipes that can be cooked using only a microwave, toaster oven, or hot plate.
Then there’s a Splatter Chocolate Candy Making class on Saturday, November 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The only thing better than a bar of chocolate is a decorated bar of chocolate. Join us to sling, fling, and splatter your way to a chocolatey creation of your very own. Every participant will get to make a candy bar to take home!
To register for these programs please go to www.cityofdestin.com/library and click on Teen Services to access the registration forms or you can send an email to library@cityofdestin.com with your contact information. If you have any questions please call the library at 850-837-8572.
