[ARCHIVED] “Mr. Mac” To Support Summer Reading Program at Destin Library

On Friday, July 26th at 3:00 pm, Michael “Mr. Mac” McCartan will be at the Destin Library to promote the library’s 2019 summer reading program: A Universe of Stories!

Michael McCartan is better known as “Mr. Mac” to thousands of children along the Emerald Coast. McCartan is a multi-dimensional musician and educator whose songs encourage kids to “get moving” and “never stop reading.” McCartan, who is from Escambia County, Florida, is a physical education teacher who has also become a much-loved music ambassador for children of all ages. McCartan continues to teach but also travels the country introducing songs to children in his effort to promote staying fit and active. This is a free event for all ages. Seating will be limited and on a first-come basis. If you have questions, please call the library at 850-837-8572.
