Destin, Fla. – The 4th Annual Destin Pooch Palooza will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Nancy Weidenhamer Dog Park located at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. This is a great opportunity to come out and bring your four legged family members and help raise money for the dog park. The festival begins at 10 a.m. and will run to 3 p.m. Destin Parks and Recreation and Friends of the Destin Dog Park are hosting the event which will include presentations, demonstrations and activities. This year families can participate in the “Shy of a Mile Mutt March, which will begin at the conclusion of opening ceremonies. Registration for the mutt march is from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and requires a $10 fee. T-shirts will be provided while they last and there will be prizes for first and last place.
Please bring donations such as food, collars, leashes or cleaning supplies to support the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) who will be onsite to provide rabies shots for $5 and microchipping for $10. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, March 30th.
