More than 50 people gathered on October 11 to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Norriego Point Stabilization Project. Past and present city council members and mayors, city staff, FDEP officials, project contractors, the Destin Chamber of Commerce and members of the public all participated in the ceremony.
Mayor Scott Fischer, former Mayor Sam Seevers and FDEP Project Coordinator Pearce Barrett gave remarks.
