The City of Destin is now accepting applications for appointment to a Charter Review Committee. The Destin City Council approved the formation of an eight-member Charter Review Committee to review the city’s charter and recommend changes to the city council.
"This is a great opportunity for residents to get involved in their city government and play a role in the future of Destin," said Mayor Scott Fischer. "The city's charter is the most important document in our municipal government. I encourage anyone who is interested to apply, especially those who already have knowledge of our city government."
The deadline to submit an application is 5 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016. Applicants must be registered voters of the City of Destin and shall have resided within the city boundaries for at least one year. Application forms are available here and at city hall, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail. Residents can also obtain an application by contacting the City Clerk at 837-4242.
