Destin residents:

Now is a good time to begin thinking about preparations for a storm. Don’t cut branches and put them on the street. Loose branches could cause more damage than if they are still connected. Make sure your emergency kit is ready and that you have plenty of water and food for three days. Check your emergency generator (if you have one) and review your emergency plan.

More tips and instructions can be found in the City of Destin’s 2012 Hurricane Information Guide on this website under City Services. A direct link to the document is here: www.cityofdestin.com/DocumentCenter/Home/View/168
