Councilman Larry Hines was honored for his service to the City of Destin at the Aug. 6 council meeting. He was joined by his wife, Kay, and was presented a plaque by Mayor Sam Seevers on behalf of the city council. Hines resigned his seat on the Destin City Council to seek election to the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners.
