The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public information meeting concerning a vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle safety assessment study along U.S. 98 (State Road 30) from the Marler Bridge to Indian Bayou Trail in Okaloosa County on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Destin City Hall Annex, 4100 Indian Bayou Trail, Destin.
Safety is a key concern along this corridor and is currently being assessed with regard to vulnerable road users identified as pedestrians and bicyclists. Existing safety, accessibility, and lighting features vary along the route. Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display. FDOT representatives will be available to discuss proposed improvements, answer questions and receive comments.
