The Destin City Council made special recognitions at the July 16 council meeting. Destin resident and community volunteer Nancy Weidenhamer was honored with a plaque for her dedication to creating the Destin Dog Park. The plaque will hang at the dog park.
Public Services Administrative Assistant Hedy Vahabzadeh was awarded with the city's Employee of the Third Quarter Award for her hard work. Mayor Seevers presented her with a proclamation from the Destin City Council and Helen Rigdon of Congressman Miller's office presented her with a letter from Congressman Miller congratulating her on the recognition.
A third presentation was made to Mayor Seevers and the council by Helen Rigdon on behalf of Congressman Miller. Rigdon presented Seevers with a certificate recognizing the City of Destin for its commitment to the community.
