April is Library Appreciation Month and the Destin Library was honored with a proclamation at the April 7 Destin City Council meeting for its commitment to excellence and dedication to the Destin community.
Mayor Mel Ponder presented Library Director Jurate Burns with the proclamation at the meeting and expounded on the importance of libraries in general and specifically, the Destin Library's charge to provide Destin with resources to learn and grow.
The Destin Library is located at 150 Sibert Ave., Destin, FL, 32578. Hours of operation are:
Monday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
