The Destin Library will host a kids celebration entitled“Happy Birthday America” on Thursday, July 5th, at 5:30 PM for children ages 5 to 10. The program is in recognition of America’s 236th birthday and is free and open to the public. Reservations are encouraged at 850-837-8572.
The program will include:
· Historic personality portrayals … Mary Katherine Goddard – America’s first female printer, publisher and postmaster and others
· Face painting
· Games and prizes
· An imaginative Happy Birthday America story with storyteller Mr. Will
· Happy Birthday America treats and more
In addition, children will be able to sign a giant birthday card to America!
