The Florida League of Cities has appointed Destin City Councilwoman Sandy Trammell to its board of directors. Trammell will serve on the board until August 2014 when elections will be held during the League’s Annual Conference. She is eligible for additional terms on the board.

Trammell is in her second term on the Destin City Council and is an active leader in the Destin community. “This is truly an honor and I am humbled by the trust placed in me by my fellow city leaders,” said Trammell. “I look forward to serving Destin and representing all of Northwest Florida. I will work diligently with the League of Cities in creating, guiding and supporting policies that will benefit our area.”

A 54-member board of directors made up of elected city officials from around the State of Florida governs the Florida League of Cities. The board of directors is tasked with policy making and overseeing the operations of the League.
