Destin, FL. – On Thursday, June 3rd, from noon until 2:00 p.m., the Destin Library is pleased to present author Andrea “Drey” Bowen. Drey will be set up outside on the library’s veranda to discuss her new book, Moving Onto Higher Ground. This event will be held inside the library with limited attendance if there is inclement weather.
Drey is the author of Time Out: Practicing Self Care and H3: Harmonious, Healthy & Heaven-Sent Union. Her recent release, Moving Onto Higher Ground, is her most treasured as it was written during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using excerpts from her intimate and personal journal entries, this book serves as a blueprint for the next generation of individuals who inspire to take action toward following their dreams in starting a business, maintaining it, and working in mutual aid with other community entities to make our society better.
Drey Bowen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Family Life Educator who received training at Yale University Child Study Center, Florida State University, and Trenton State College. She seeks to inspire individuals in nontraditional forms by incorporating dance, physical fitness, psychotherapy and spirituality in her practice. Drey focuses her attention on strengthening and empowering families to become resilient, despite challenges and stressors.
