Destin, FL. – During the month of May, the expressive pastel work of artist Melody Bogle is on display at the Destin Library. Come take a tour through her land and seascapes as you browse the stacks.
Melody Bogle is a local artist who moved to this area as a teenager from rural Montgomery, AL. She began painting in oils just out of high school and from that point on art has been a conscious part of her life. She was introduced to plein air painting locally when taking a pastel workshop with Albert Handel. The love of the outdoors and art together brought a new growth to her work. She joined the local Emerald Coast Plein Air Painters and went out weekly with the group to paint in many locations in the area.
Melody has won many awards in her career but two of the most important was Best in Show at the Cultural Arts Association’s ArtsQuest and the 2016 Visit South Walton Artist of The Year.
