PROGRAMS

• COED SOFTBALL: The City of Destin will host Coed Recreation Softball Leagues, starting Wednesday nights, on March 3^rd, 2021. A mandatory team captains’ meeting will be held on Wednesday February 10^th, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., at Buck Destin Park, located at 724 Legion Drive.  Space is limited to the first 16 teams. The team fee is $275 and must be paid before the team is placed on the schedule. The last day to register a team is February 26^th.  Individual fees are $40, with a $20 discount offered to Destin residents (proof of residency required). A $10 discount will be applied to players who sign also sign up for the men’s league. Individual fees must be paid before a player is eligible to play. • YOUTH SPRING SOCCER: The City of Destin will host a Youth Spring Soccer league and   registration is February 16^th – March 6^th for children ages 3-15 (age as of September 1, 2020).  The fee is $40, with a $15 discount offered to Destin Residents with a valid driver’s license.  A birth certificate is required. Registration can only be completed in person at the Destin Community Center Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Spaces are limited, so early registration is recommended. Coaches and team sponsors are needed. All games are held on Friday nights at Morgan Sports Center. For more information, please call 850-650-1241 or email ewright@cityofdestin.com.
• PICKLEBALL: Play Pickleball at the Destin Community Center. Sessions are Mondays from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The fee is $3 per session and spaces are limited. Please call the Community Center to register for a time slot at 850.654.5184. Racquets and balls are available; just bring your gym shoes.
• TABLE TENNIS: Table Tennis at the Destin Community Center is available for spirited competition on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am-1pm.  Paddles and balls are provided.  Fee: $3 for non-residents or $2 for Destin (year-round) residents.  
• GAME ROOM: The game room at the Destin Community Center is open to children ages 10 and older. Children under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult. The game room has a pool table, air hockey and foosball and is open Monday through Thursday (8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.) and Friday (8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.).  

SENIOR PROGRAMS

• DESTIN SENIOR MEMBERSHIP: Join the Destin Seniors Membership to enjoy multiple festivities including the senior lunch bunch, potluck, casino trips, bingo, chair exercise, knitting, scrabble, and Mexican dominoes. Members must be a Destin Resident to join. For more information about becoming a member of the Destin Seniors, please call the Destin Community Center at 850-654-5184.
• DESTIN SENIOR CHAIR EXERCISE 50+ YEARS: Destin Senior Chair Exercise classes are offered at Buck Destin Park Monday and Wednesday mornings from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m., for Destin residents. The chair exercise consists of performing light exercises to help improve balance, flexibility, strength, and circulation. The class is free for Destin residents. 
• DESTIN SENIOR WALKING CLUB: Join the Destin Senior Members for a walk around the Destin Community Center’s gymnasium on Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. All the miles that you walk will be added to our “team map” as we travel from one region to the next. The team’s miles are reported on the 4^th Friday of each month at the Destin Senior Membership’s Potluck.
• SENIOR DROP-IN HOURS: The Destin Senior Center located at Buck Destin Park, 724 Legion Drive, offers senior drop-in hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Seniors (50 years and older) meet to enjoy each other’s company, participate in games such as Mexican Train Dominoes, Scrabble, Poker, etc.  

EVENTS

• SPRING CRAFT SHOW: The City of Destin’s 15^th Annual Spring Craft Show will be held at the Community Center on Friday, February 26^th from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday, February 27^th from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.  There will be over 40 vendors showing handcrafted jewelry, woodcarvings, paintings, food items and much more! Vendor booths are available for $45/Destin residents and $55/non-residents (Foyer $65).        Space is limited so please register early. Admission is free to the public.
