Biographical Information

Chatham was born and raised in Destin. He is the managing partner of La Paz Restaurante and Cantina and The Local Market on Gulf Shore Drive. He is also a partner at Camille's Restaurant at Crystal Beach. Prior to entering the restaurant business, he wholesaled fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood at Harbor Docks Seafood Market.

While at Harbor Docks, Chatham worked directly with local fishermen to find profitable outlets for their catch. In 2012, Harbor Docks Seafood Market distributed more than one million pounds of finfish to restaurants across the Southeast and to the Fulton Fish Market in New York City.

An avid fisherman, Chatham is a two-time winner of the Crab Cruncher Classic, a local cobia fishing tournament.


This is Chatham's first foray into local government. He hopes that his local business experience will help bring a fresh perspective to the issues that come before the City Council.

Community Involvement

While in college at The University of Alabama, Chatham founded American Lunch, a 501(c)3 charity dedicated to feeding the less fortunate. He currently serves as president. American Lunch is based on the premise that by operating a soup kitchen out of a food truck, they are able to minimize the hassle of transportation and maximize their outreach potential.

American Lunch operates in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Birmingham, Ala., Athens, Ga., and Chattanooga, Tenn. Chatham and his team are looking into bringing American Lunch to the Emerald Coast in the near future.

In addition to American Lunch, Chatham actively participates in Take-A-Kid-Fishing day, based out of Harbor Docks Restaurant in Destin. For more than 20 years the group has facilitated charter boat fishing trips for thousands of underprivileged local children.

Chatham serves on the board of Trees Destin, a local non-profit that is dedicated to beautifying Destin through enhanced landscaping.

He is also a proud member of the Episcopal Church and the Florida Wildlife Federation.
