The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) serves as the City of Destin’s policing agency through an annual contract that designates twelve uniformed officers for enforcement duties within the city limits. In addition to providing manpower, the OCSO serves as a strong partner and advocate to further public safety issues in Destin; a deputy attends all city council meetings, keeps the city manager informed of all police activities within the city, provides monthly performance measures, acquires and administers grants for extra traffic enforcement within Destin city limits, and provides increased policing along our roadways and beaches during special events, high tourist season and spring break.
For OCSO GIS data, you may go to www.crimereports.com at any time and type in the city’s zip code (32541) to view a google map of crime locations, updated daily by the OCSO.
