FDOT Set to Begin Drainage Repair Work on U.S. 98 in Destin

From FDOT: Drainage repair work on U.S. 98 in Okaloosa County will begin the week of February 12. Work will consist of cleaning and sealing pipe joints along the trunk line, adjacent manhole and curb inlet structures along westbound U.S. 98 from Gulf Shore Drive to Airport Road. Westbound lane restrictions will occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Lane closures will not be performed on specified holidays and specials events. The project is anticipated to be complete summer 2017.

All activities are weather dependent and might be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to use caution and to watch for heavy equipment and construction workers entering and exiting the roadway.
